I'm doing all the content on "sport" driving scheme with a gamepad and it's definitely too easy to pass the tournaments so far, even if I fail two turns in a row and end up on 3rd place, I am still able to catch up and get some additional seconds of advantage.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 to druga odsłona popularnego cyklu wyścigów samochodowych, za której powstanie odpowiada firma Eden Studios. Twórcy zadali sobie tu trud rozbudowania najlepszych elementów części pierwszej oraz usunięcia z niej najbardziej uciążliwych niedoróbek. Test Drive Unlimited 2, podobnie jak wydany w 2006 roku pierwowzór, pozwala przede wszystkim na rywalizację w Internecie z udziałem dużej liczby użytkowników. Nie oznacza to oczywiście, iż zabrakło trybu dla pojedynczego gracza, oferującego zmagania ze sztuczną inteligencją. Ciekawostką jest to, że tryb ten w TDU2 wzbogacony został o wątek fabularny, związany ze ściganiem się z lokalnymi mistrzami kierownicy. Nowością są także turnieje, które zastąpiły pojedyncze wyścigi, oraz specjalne licencje, których zdobywanie wymagane jest do odblokowywania dostępu do kolejnych rodzajów zawodów. Nową areną zmagań jest Ibiza – trzecia co do wielkości wyspa hiszpańskiego archipelagu Baleary. W dalszej fazie rozgrywki otrzymujemy natomiast dostęp do znanej z TDU1 hawajskiej wyspy O'ahu. Obydwie lokacje dysponują zarówno drogami asfaltowymi, jak i wszelkiego rodzaju bezdrożami (błoto, żwir, piach). Do badania trudniej dostępnych terenów możemy teraz wykorzystywać popularne auta terenowe z napędem 4x4. Bogaty asortyment wozów z pierwowzoru został poszerzony o nowe modele. W grze występują trzy zasadnicze klasy pojazdów - A to auta sportowe, B to pojazdy terenowe, a C to modele klasyczne.
